Integrating your Univerge Blue with Plainwise creates an efficient and secure connection between your phone system and the Plainwise portal. In this guide, you'll go through step by step how to set up the required integration data and how individual users link their accounts.


Entering Integration Data in the Plainwise Portal

For a successful connection, the following integration data must be filled in:

  1. Navigate to PBX Admin
    Log in to the management interface of your Univerge Blue system and go to the PBX Admin section.

  2. Apps and Integrations
    Select the Apps and integrations option in the menu.

  3. Enable API Access
    Click CONNECT API access or Enable access to enable the API integration.

  4. Add OAuth Client ID
    Under the OAuth client IDs section, click Add client ID.

  5. Configure Connection
    Perform the following actions to set up the connection:

    • Copy the following URL:
      https://portal.plainwise.com/api/univergeblue/oauth-callback
    • Connection name:
      Give the connection a recognizable name, for example: Plainwise-Connection.
    • Redirect URI:
      Paste the copied URL in the Redirect URI field.
    • Client type:
      Ensure the client type is set to Trusted client.
  6. Safely Store Keys
    After configuring the connection, the API keys are only issued once. Store these keys in a safe place.

    Important:

    If the keys are reset, you must also replace the new values in the Plainwise portal. Use secretshare.plainwise.com for short-term storage, for example.


Linking Users in Plainwise

Once the system integration is complete, individual users must link their accounts to utilize the full functionality of Univerge Blue.

Step-by-step guide for Users

  1. Log in to the Plainwise Portal
    Log in with your user account to the Plainwise Portal.

  2. Open User Profile
    Click on your profile in the bottom left of the portal. This opens the page with user settings, where the connection with Univerge Blue is visible.

  3. Connect with Univerge Blue
    Click the connect button in the Univerge Blue section.

    This starts the linking process and you'll be redirected to the Univerge Blue login page.

  4. Log in to Univerge Blue
    Enter your UB login credentials on the Univerge Blue login page.

  5. Select the Device
    After successful login, a list appears with the devices you're logged into via your UB account. Choose the device you want to use for outgoing calls.

    After selecting a device, your account is linked to Univerge Blue. You can now manage outgoing calls via Plainwise.
